Catherine Designs is closing ... Retirement sale : 50% off all my store ...

Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I have taken the decision to retire.

I have kept postponing the decision because it was so difficult for me to do. I really love designing and what an adventure it has been. I have loved every minute of it.

I just remember as if it was yesterday when Amy told us about the opening of her new store :

After 5 Designs

and encouraged some of us to join her in this adventure.  

I owe Amy a big thank you to have encouraged me to be part of it but

I also owe my CT team and my customers a big thank you for their support and

the two years of fun and friendship.

I have accepted a few months ago a short term full time job which is turning now into a full time permanent job. In this period of economic turmoil , it is a chance for me. Unfortunately I am no superwoman and just can't juggle designing with a full time job. Being a designer for me is a full time job as I like to take the time to think carefully about each paper and elements I create. I am a perfectionist, I am slow and designing 2 or 3 hours at night is just not for me.

I am sad as designing was really important to me but who knows ... I might be back one day ...

I will miss designing but most of all I will miss all of you.

Hi Catherine. I can't believe that you will retiring because I'm big fun of you! You are the one who make me interested in Digital Scrap Booking. You were always make us beautiful comments for our LO, I can tell you are such a sweet designer.
I was wondering that you didn't make a new kit these days then now I could understand you have been so busy! I can feel you've tried and I know the real life is more important for everyone. I hope you will use your time more for your family and new job! And I will waiting if you will be able to come back for us one day. I am happy for your new opportunity, I hope it brings you so much more than just financial security. I pray that it turns into something so much more for you.

But, I too am so very sad to see you leave designing. I have bought every single thing you've made, and still consider them the Cadillac of my scrapping supplies. Everything you made is full of beauty, elegance, depth and a richness of color & texture beyond compare. I apologize that I didn't write you a fan letter before... but I am and will remain a fan.

This is obviously so much a part of who you are, I hope that you'll need more of this creative outlet and we'll perhaps see you in some more collabs with Createwings or Bisontine or anyone else.
